Can the scanner update via the Internet?
Most of our scanners can update from our website: www.roadico.com. To determine if your equipment needs updating, click on the Update/Download link at the top of this page. Once at that link, enter your e-mail address and the serial number of your equipment. This both registers your equipment and checks that it has the most recent software, hardware, and library versions. If it does not, your equipment will automatically receive a download link to the latest updates.
Do I need adapters for different vehicles?
All OBD2 compliant vehicles are required to have a standard, 16-pin, D-shaped Data Link Connector (DLC). No other adapter cables are required to connect the OBD2 Auto Scanners. Most veheles have the certificate sticker like below.
What Protocol our scanner supports?
Supports VPW, PWM, ISO9141, KW2000 and CAN Protocol.

How to print out the data for model RDT79?
For the printer function of RDT79, please follow the easy 1-2-3 step as below:
1. use the upgradeable line to connect to your PC.
2. Turn on your unit.
3. open the printer software (printcom software) which we prepare for you in our disc, and then click the "print" icon.
Done. When the information is printed out, the software displays "x page print OK". Those information include control module, vehicle info., MIL status and I/M Readiness monitors status, Stored and Pending trouble codes, Freeze Frame info., O2 monitor and On-Board monitor information (you need to conduct the test, or there is no information listing).

How does the Fatigue Detection Device work?
1) Driver Fatigue Detection Device (Abb.: SEC-DFDD) is working by 5v power and detecting driver's eyes to read the mark about opening eyes, closing eyes.
2) Detecting light (Blue light) won't turn off until the SEC-DFDD catching driver's eyes. Eg. Outside Surveillance scope or dark light, or with glasses, etc , will be the factors of failure.
3) No light is on means the device is working normally and tracking driver's eyes. when the driver in the condition to close eyes, even almost, the yellow light (closing indication)will light on.
4) When Yellow light last lighting on exceed 2seconds, Fatigue indication(Red light)will turn on automatically ,if lasting 5seconds,it will bleeping to warn how fatigue the driver is . and won't stop bleeping until driver open eyes.
